For the fouth time the international solar industry will meet in India on the 6th to the 8th November 2012.
The Intersolar will take place on an area of 20 000 square meters in hall 1 of the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC). There are more than 350 exhibitors expected, who will present their latest services and products. This year, the Intersolar will be accompanied by the Intersolar India Conference 2012 as well. In addition with that over 700 experts in the solar field will be present in Mumbai. They will not only present their services, but also discuss recent developments. Around 100 speakers are scheduled.
More than 10 000 trade visitors are expected to attend the event. Keeping this in mind, the events facilitates national and international networking at the same time. The Indian government launched the National Solar Mission Initiative, which layed the groundwork for a new Indian solar era. Right now the Indian market experiences significant growth and development in that field.
Therefore India expects to add 9 GW of solar capacity by 2016 and 20 GW by 2022. The sudy "Solar Industry: Survival of the fittest in a fiercely competitive market place" ranks India as one of the most booming solar PV markets. The Intersolar and the Indian government therefore does not only offer oppurtunities for national and international industries, but also for transnational cooperation.
Recently a huge number of international companies are joining the indian solar market. This development is also reflected by joint booths from Spain and Germany. Spanish joint booth is organized by the Spanish Association for the Internationalization and Innovation of Solar Companies (SOLARTYS), which is supported by the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX). The Germans are partly represented by the Renewable Energy Export Initiative organized by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
