The Canadian German Chamber is organizing the 7th Canadian German Wind Enegy Conference in Montreal.

As in the last six years the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Montreal is organizing again in 2011 its 7th Canadian German Wind Energy Conference. This one-day conference offers Canadian and German wind executives plenary sessions, tailored workshops and networking opportunities.

Canada has experienced rapid growth in installed wind energy capacity over the last five years with an average of 45 % per year between 2005 and 2010 and is on track to meet the goal to cover 20 % of Canada's electricity demand by wind energy in 2025 as pointed out in the WindVision 2025 of the Canadian Wind Energy Association.

To make the wind parks and market growth stable and sustainable, the Canadian wind energy industry has to deal with several challenges: in the planning phase, developers need to meet the various financial, technical and social requirements; after commissioning, intelligent operation and maintenance needs to insure performance to yield expectations.

The 7th Canadian German Wind Energy Conference therefore focuses on the exchange of cutting-edge technologies and best practices to overcome the challenges in the planning and operation process of wind farms making wind energy a financially, politically and socially accepted source of power.

You will find the preliminary conference program here soon.
