Building on CanWEA's inaugural Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) workshop held in Quebec City in February of 2010, CanWEA continues this momentum in the second annual OH&S Workshop in Calgary, Alberta.
Over the course of one and a half days, delegates will focus their attention on areas that have been identified by the CanWEA OH&S Working Group as being critical to the wind industry - these include electrical safety, confined space, and fall arrest to name a few. As the wind industry continues to expand, it is becoming increasingly important to be aware, proactive and responsive to the safety needs of workers in this maturing sector. This workshop will explore regulations and best practices in these critical areas, and will assist CanWEA and its members in the development of guidelines intended to help all stakeholders, either new to the Canadian market, or those wishing to reinforce and strengthen their internal OH&S programs and/or benchmarking best practices.
