Super Storm Sandy cannot stop our efforts to promote energy efficiency! Hence, we are happy to announce that our “German American Smart Buildings Symposium 2012” is going to be relaunched in 2013.

The German American Smart Buildings Symposium 2013

Wednesday, March 13th, 2013

8:30am to 3:30pm
Center for Architecture (1218 Arch Street)
Philadelphia, PA

Join us for this free event highlighting the latest development in sustainable building systems. The Symposium is brought to you by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

Efficiency is often described as the cheapest source of energy we have.  This is certainly true for buildings, which consume over 40 % of energy produced in the US. But using efficient appliances and turning lights and air conditioners off when they're not needed will not bring down our demand enough to significantly reduce our demand overall. So what new and innovative strategies are being tested and implemented? How will our buildings change in the coming years, and how will our interactions with them change?

The German American Smart Buildings Symposium will introduce you to expert speakers who will address these questions and more.

The speakers as well as the German business representatives will be announced shortly. Each of the German companies is planning an expansion of their activities in the US over the coming year and would be available for direct meetings.
