The German-Slovak Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Bratislava was founded in 2005 and is a bilateral organisation for German and Slovak companies. The chamber currently represents 300 member firms employing 74,000 people in Slovakia and generating an annual turnover of 15 billion euro. The service portfolio includes: mediation of business partners and research of market information, organisation of events, representation of its member companies and promotion and services regarding environmental and renewable energy issues. The German-Slovak chamber of commerce has laid a special focus on renewable energy issues in its business activities. Since its founding year the chamber has realised several projects regarding renewable energy sources. These projects were aimed to show German companies the economic potential of renewable energy sources in Slovakia and to initiate business relations with Slovak companies.
