Discussions about the Greek energy market at the "Economist Congress" on the 23rd of March 2009.
It can't be that the dark Germany (regarding to the sun-potential) produces 14.500 MW with renewable energies and Greece only 900 MW, explained the representative of the Panhellenic Socialistic Movement (PASOK) and the former minister Michalis Chrisochoidis.
The vice-president of the Greek Energy Regulation Authority emphasized the need of 4 additional energy production units until 2011. The goal is to achieve a total power of 1.600 MW from renewable energies during 2009 and additional 700 MW in the years 2010 and 2011 up to a total power of 10.000 MW until 2020.
