Federal association for renewable energy
The BEE was founded in 1991 as the umbrella organization of the associations of renewable energies. 26 federations from the water power, wind energy, biomass, solar energy and geothermal energy areas are at present members of the association with a total of over 20,000 individual members and companies. The statutory tasks of the BEE include the improvement of basic legal conditions for renewable energy, the achievement of equal opportunities for the use of renewable energy in relation to other energy sources and in particular the co-ordination of the individual activities of the federations on the political and public stage. A long-term goal of the BEE is to completely convert to the use of renewable energy
