India can be a great power in case it uses its renewable energy resources properly.
Economic Trends expert Rifkin reports in The Weekand Leader that this is the right time for India to start a third industrial revolution. This revolution should be accompanied by its abundant renewable energy resources. Such a revolution could lead India to great power. The shift to renewable energy is, however, depending on the political will. Utilising sources like wind, solar and geothermal energy creates access to power for the rural population. In the end the use of untapped renewable energy sources will create jobs and industries as well.
