The first International Summer School on Renewable Energy was held at the Hassan 1st University in Settat from 1 to 5 July 2013. It was jointly organised by GIZ through its APSM Project and the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (Masen).
Intended for future solar industry engineers, the event was a platform for international stakeholders from Germany and France, local solar industry representatives as well as students from different Moroccan universities and engineering schools to exchange experiences and learn about solar energy.
With its advanced, timely and varied content relevant to the realities of the solar industry market, this intensive programme was an enriching experience, based on interaction and discussions that balanced both the theory and practice of solar technology.
Not surprisingly, all 50 participants gave the summer school the thumbs up for arousing their interest in solar energies and strengthening their knowledge on Concentrated Solar Power (CSP).
