The conference schedule for the Texas Renewables 2011 conference and the South Texas & Offshore Wind Forum are online now. Registration is still open and can be done at www.texasrenewables.org.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX- This coming November, industry leaders from across the renewable energy spectrum will be gathered in Corpus Christi, Texas for the Texas Renewables 2011 conference. During the event, which is being organized through the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association (TREIA), a special forum will be offered by the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern US, Inc. (GACC South) that will focus on the South Texas and offshore wind markets. The program for both the South Texas & Offshore Wind Forum and the entire conference can be found at www.texasrenewables.org.

South Texas is emerging as the state’s new frontier for renewable energy development with wind projects taking the lead. Onshore development is growing, and the prospect of offshore wind installations from Galveston and Brownsville is gaining interest and momentum as well.

The speaker line-up of industry leaders and experts will be highlighted by such notable people as:

  • Dwain Rogers, Deputy Commissioner of Renewable Energy, Texas General Land Office
  • Mark Leyland, Senior Vice President of Wind Energy, Baryonyx Corporation
  • Tom Hudson, President, Coastal Point Energy
  • Gerónimo Gutiérrez, CEO, North American Development Bank

The South Texas & Offshore Wind Forum is also pleased to welcome speakers from American Shoreline, the Port of Corpus Christi, Texas A&M University, and the Texas Engineering Experiment Station, among many others.

Registration for both events is still ongoing and can be done at www.texasrenewables.org. The South Texas & Offshore Wind Forum is included in the Texas Renewables 2011 registration, or it may be registered for separately.
