Enbridge Inc. concluded a $330-million agreement to pick up a stake in a local wind project, making its first foray into the Quebec wind energy market. According to company officials, they have agreed with EDF EN Canada Inc. to make the investment for a 50 % interest in the 300 MW Lac Alfred Wind Project located north east of Quebec City. EDF EN Canada is a unit of the French wind power company, partly owned by French electric utility Electricité de France.
